The Norwich Elementary School Media Center is operated with a flexible access schedule. This means that our media center is open every day and all day to all students. This schedule is opposed to a more traditional schedule where students come in for a set time only once weekly.

Students, with their teacher’s permission, may come to the media center at anytime during the day and as often as they wish.

Students visit our media center to check out materials, to read quietly, and to do research for classroom assignments.

Students also come to the media center with their classroom teachers for various lessons planned in collaboration with the media specialist and the teacher. Students may also come in small groups for various lessons that are jointly planned.
